losing touch

(H&M top, Shorts c/o Laura, Zara flats)

Recycled my tried and true outfit combination of long up top and tiny down bottom for lunch with my best friends before a quick bag change and coffee with mother dearest. I don't think I will ever tire of disintegrating white tshirts and microscopic skirt/pant lengths. Old habits die hard.

how to make friends

(Bassike top, Zara waxed denim, Dolce Vita boots, Kookai faux fur)

 Step 1: Wear Fur. Done.

This outfit got me through both torrential rain and violent winds, as well as winning me some new friends. As soon as you wear such items out in public, people will be attracted to the new found textural sensations they will experience through human contact with said fur-wearer (You) and bam, friendships are forged. Still loving the chunky heel on these boots I got in New York many years ago (...2011) which slightly balance out my winter silhouette obsession of a huge outwear item with skinny pants down below. Note to self: must invest in awkwardly huge, structured winter coat ASAP.

(Saba Tank, Topshop cropped leather pants and boots)

It doesn't get much better than a spaghetti-strapped tank - the perfect amount of delicate white silk and skin.  I don't know what it is, but I love bare skin, in the most non-trashy way possible, in all its smooth, freckled glory. The top by itself is a little too perfect, so the leather pants ruin the look just enough to be me.

(men's tank from general pants, zara jeans, sportsgirl belt, zara bag, topshop booties)
Cost per wear of these boots has probably descended to sub-zero - so comfortable, perfect non-heel heel and slip-on zip entry for spontaneous moments when I want to go shoeless. I paired them today with rolled up Zara jeans (am currently obsessed with cuffing everything, there's just something about ankle exposure that I enjoy), a slouchy gunmetal guy's top and a bag that I can, and do, fit my whole life into.

(vintage knit, ksubi cutoffs, wandering souls @ glue sandals, karen walker sunglasses, sportsgirl bag from three centuries ago)

Wandered around the city today in an outfit more for comfort than anything else. I lived in these sandals and shorts all throughout the summer and I'm not quite ready to banish them to the depths of my wardrobe. Lost my Messina virginity (choc mint and a chocwork orange)followed by a cute date at a secluded cafe, during which both hot and cold versions of green tea were consumed.

And there you go. Day 1 of my week long daily-blogathon complete.
